At the 2015 Summer Awards Astellas sponsored Best Staff Journalist for a General Audience, which was won by Sarah Boseley of the Guardian.

Judge Olivia Timbs, former editor of The Pharmaceutical Journal, described Sarah’s entries —pieces on ebolaketamine and legal highs were “unusual and of a consistently high standard.” The judges all agreed: “She gives you a sense of adventure.”

The judges also commended Daily Mirror health correspondent Andy Gregory and Steve Connor from The Independent.
