Farewell to Elizabeth Adlam

By July 12, 2016Obituaries, Public

mourning ribbonWe are sad to have to report the death of long-standing MJA member and award-winning freelance journalist, Elizabeth Adlam.

Liz was diagnosed with myeloma in 2014 and did well until about a month ago when the illness overwhelmed her. Her husband Tony and twin daughters Carol and Samantha were with her when she died.

Liz was a prolific freelancer and contributed to most of the nationals as well as specialist and consumer titles. She was a long-term contributor to Reader’s Digest and a committee member of the Guild of Health Writers.

Those who knew Liz will remember her for her seemingly effortless professionalism, genuine charm and infectiously warm smile.

Liz’s family have asked that rather than sending flowers, any donations should go to Myeloma UK.
